  Four charged with sexual assault on minors after investigations web posted June 1, 2007 JOHNSTON – Johnston Police have made multiple arrests over the past week stemming from May investigations of criminal sexual conduct with minors. The two female victims, whose cases are unrelated, were ages 13 and 14. Johnston Police Chief Chris Aston released information on the investigations earlier last month. According to jail records and Chief Aston, Justin Broadwater, 19, of Broadwater Circle has been charged in the case involving the 13-year-old girl. Police reports indicate that the young girl snuck out of her house and left with Mr. Broadwater and had sexual contact with him in a vehicle at an unknown location. He has been charged with criminal sexual conduct with a minor. Chief Aston said that as a result of the investigation two teen boys, both 15, have also been charged for criminal sexual conduct with the same girl. Their names were not released due to their age. They were taken to the Department of Juvenile Justice in Columbia. It was unclear if a forth arrest is possible. A second case involving a 14-year-old girl has led to the arrest of Keith Bernard Jones, 21, of Ridge Road in Johnston. According to police reports Mr. Jones is accused of taking the 14-year-old girl to a motel in order to have sexual contact with her. Jones has also been charged with criminal sexual conduct with a minor. Mr. Jones and Mr. Broadwater have both been booked into custody and released on bond. No trial date was available. Information on the two teen boys’ disposition was not available. Chief Aston said his department is currently working yet another case involving a 14-year-old girl and a 22-year-old man.
