Business owner offers $3,000 reward after burglary
web
posted June 4, 2009
JOHNSTON – The owner of Mid Atlantic Saw
and Seal Company in Johnston is offering a $3,000 reward to anyone
offering information that leads to the arrest and conviction of those
responsible
for a burglary at the business last week. Jamie Rushton
said the total of tools and materials stolen from the business has
topped $125,000. “They knew what they were doing,” he said. The stolen
truck used to haul away the materials was found abandoned in Beech
Island on Tuesday.
“We are happy with the Edgefield County Sheriff’s Office and think they
are doing all they can do at this point,” Mr. Rushton said.
Additional items reported stolen are 3 welders, a plasma cutter, race
engine, race transmission, rear end boat motor, 2 generators, four
wheeler trailer, air tools, hand tools, power tools and an air
compressor. Mr. Rushton said the list of stolen items continues to grow
as the full inventory of the business is being completed.
To provide information please call the Edgefield County Sheriff’s
Office at 803-637-5337 or 803-278-1625.
