Car thefts continue web posted June 28, 2007 JOHNSTON – Another car has been reported in the Johnston area Tuesday night. The owner told a Sheriff’s Deputy that the car was last seen on Monday night and discovered missing Tuesday night around 9 pm. The 1973 or 1974 green Dodge was not licensed and was not running according to the owner. The car was taken from a home on Sunhigh Road, Johnston. An Investigator was notified and has taken over the investigation. The owner estimated the value of the car at $1,000. The theft makes the eighth reported theft this week of cars that investigators believe are being sold as scrap. Police are paying special attention to automobiles being towed in the area.
