 Woman discovers intruder in home web posted July 27, 2006 JOHNSTON – A Pine Hill Church Road woman reported an intruder in her home Monday morning. While the woman slept, she said she awoke to the sound of footsteps and doors being opened in the home. The intruder was unaware of the woman in the home. According to statements provided to the Sheriff’s Office, when the intruder heard the woman in the home and then fled. When the deputy arrived at the location, footprints were found leading from the home. Tire tracks left by the vehicle the subject was believed to have been driving were also located. All evidence was photographed during the investigation. The homeowners did not report anything missing from the home. The husband and wife did not report the incident until more than eight hours after it occurred. For
