Johnston home burglarized of over $4,000 in goods

web posted August 9, 2007
JOHNSTON – A Johnston man reported a break-in to his Robin Drive home that resulted in over $4,000 in property being taken from the home. Johnston Police arrived at the home and found the back door had been pried open with a crowbar to gain entry into the home. The person or persons went throughout the home taking dozens of items ranging from a computer to food in the freezer.

Police photographed the home that reportedly had been ransacked and dusted the area where the stolen items were last located for fingerprints.

Among the more valuable items taken were a Compac computer, a Pentex 35MM camera, a gold necklace, an engraved wedding ring, a Magnavox 27” television, and various collectable model cars, pool sticks, rod and reels, and about $100 in change.

The case has been turned over to the Johnston Investigator for follow-up. The man discovered the burglary when he returned to the home late Monday night.
