Observant Deputy Nabs Wanted Football Fan

JOHNSTON – One of the Edgefield County Sheriff's Deputies providing security at the Strom Thurmond football game Friday night spotted an Edgefield County woman who was wanted out of Aiken County for multiple charges while she attended the game. After confirming the warrants, Rene Satterwhite, 37, was arrested and turned over to the Aiken County Sheriff's Office.

According to information provided by the Aiken County Detention Center, Satterwhite was wanted a warrant for a fraudulent check, three bench warrants for fraudulent checks, and a hold has been placed on her from Lexington County. Those charges were no provided. 
  
Satterwhite has an extensive list of arrests in Aiken County for similar charges dating back to 2000 as well as a shoplifting charge in 1993.

She was transported to the Edgefield - Aiken County line and turned over to Aiken County authorities. She remained in custody as of Tuesday night, according to jail records.
