Woman attacked outside Johnston business Edgefielddaily.com web posted September 20, 2005 JOHNSTON – A woman was attacked Saturday afternoon at C&J Party Shop on Railroad Avenue. The 48 year old woman told police that she was walking around the back of the store when a man approached her and began talking. After a short time he reached out and grabbed her. She stated she told the man to stop and he continued his assualt. At this point the woman said she began to cry and a second man walked up and confronted her alleged attacker and told him to leave the woman alone. The two men began to fight and the woman ran to a nearby pay phone to call police. Once the call to police was made both men ran off. When the Johnston Police Officer arrived the woman was advised to be checked by EMS but she declined stating she was fine. The police have the name of a suspect and the woman stated she wanted to press charges. No arrests have been made and the case has been turned over to Investigator Robinson.
