Carolina Department of
Transportation worker making a left turn ended with three lanes of
Highway 23 being blocked after colliding with a car heading towards
Johnston. None of the occupants of either vehicle were injured in the
crash.The driver of the SC DOT truck told officers that he was making a left turn from Rosa Springs Road onto westbound Highway 23 and did not see the couple in the small Chevrolet coup as he entered the roadway. The two collided and blocked the three lanes of the roadway. The smaller coup suffered major damage to the front end and had to be towed from the scene. The SC DOT truck suffered only minor damage and was able to be driven from the scene. The driver of the DOT truck was charged with failure to yield right of way. For all
