Hilltop Horror: Be Afraid, Be Very Afraid!
web posted October 11, 2012
JOHNSTON – The Hilltop Horror is
welcoming
thrill seekers who have the courage enter their doors and dare to make
their way through twenty different "scare rooms", each with a different
theme. If you don't make it through the entire haunted house you have
to ring the "Bell of Shame" located at the entrance, and the bell has
been ringing since the Hilltop Horror opened on October 5. "We'll be
open until the last person is scared," Will Lott, one of the organizers
said. The horrifying guided tour takes about 20 minutes to complete.
Heralded as one of the best haunted houses in the CSRA in 2010 (the
team took 2011 off), they are back with more scare rooms than ever in
the 20,000 square foot facility located in Johnston with a minimum of
25 actors involved in each tour.
The group is donating a portion of the proceeds to two new charities
this year including the Golden Harvest Food Bank and the Eureka Fire
Department. Many of the organizers are members of local law enforcement
agencies and the public at large.
Tickets are $12 per person, but a donation of a canned good will reduce
the price to $10 with food donations going to the Golden Harvest Food
Bank.
The Hilltop Horror is open every Friday and Saturday in October from 8
pm until. They will also be open on Halloween night.
Directions:
From Augusta take I-20 to exit 5, turn left onto Hwy 25. Continue
