web posted October 18, 2007 JOHNSTON – A car stolen from the 200 block of Edisto Street in Johnston Wednesday morning was recovered later in Aiken County, Johnston Police Chief Chris Aston said. Johnston Police were notified of the theft just before 7am. The owner said a truck parked in his driveway had also been entered, but nothing was missing. The red 2003 4-door Chevrolet Alero was left unlocked, however, the keys to the car were inside the home at the time of the theft. Chief Aston said the car was found by Aiken County Deputies on a dirt road near Old Shoals Road. The case is currently still under investigation but Chief Aston said they have a suspect in the case. The value of the car was listed at $7,300. For all
