Johnston Home Found Burglarized Sunday

web posted October 30, 2012

JOHNSTON – A Glover Circle woman returned home Sunday morning after spending the night at her daughter's home to discover she had been burglarized and called 911. The woman did not enter the home and waited on a Sheriff's Deputy to arrive and clear the home. No one was found inside. After it was discovered two flat screen TV's were taken an investigator was called to collect evidence.

When the woman arrived she noticed a window in the living room was broken out and a chair was placed below it on the outside.

The two TV's were described as a 32" black Coby LED flat screen taken from the living room and a black 20" Emerson flat screen. The woman was unable to provide the serial numbers at the time of the initial investigation. At this time, no other items were reported missing. The value of the TV's was estimated at $550.

The woman told deputies she left the home around 9:30 Saturday night and returned home at 9:30 Sunday morning.

The scene was processed for evidence and turned over to investigators on the scene.
