  Crash halts traffic in Johnston web posted November 27, 2006 All photos compliments of Roger Bush  JOHNSTON – A late
night crash blocked traffic on Monument Drive in
Johnston on Saturday for over an hour. Just before midnight an
18-wheeler hauling seed overturned after rounding a curve spilling fuel
and seed across the roadway. Johnston Police rerouted traffic around
the crash site as Johnston Firemen began spreading several bags of oil
dry on the road to absorb spilled fuel and hydraulic fluid.The driver, who first told police he was uninjured, began experiencing severe leg pain about a half an hour after the crash bringing an EMS unit to the scene. The man was treated at the scene reports indicated.  Wrecker crews worked
well into the morning trying to right the truck
and trailer to clear the roadway. Johnston Firemen returned to the
station around 1 am. The roadway was cleared by 2 am.For
