More
arrests made in armed robbery in Johnston
web posted December 9, 2005 JOHNSTON – More arrests have been made in the home invasion and armed robbery in Johnston on Monday, November 28. Already in custody is Randy Michael Coleman Jr., 18, of Johnston and a juvenile who was not identified due to his age. Police have arrested two more men in the incident and warrants have been issued for two other interim Police Chief Craig Wooten said Thursday. Arrested this week were Corey Laboo, 18 of Columbia and Tyler Fitzgerald Brooks, 22, of Johnston. Both have been charged with armed robbery, burglary first degree, assault and battery with intent to kill, and possession of a weapon during the commission of a violent crime. Two other men have also had warrants issued for their arrests. One man Chief Wooten did not identify, the other is said to be Durante Bush. Police say Mr. Bush will not be going far since he is a registered sex offender. Statements say that Mr. Bush organized the robbery because the men in the home were selling drugs on Mr. Bush’s drug turf. With the latest arrests this brings the total of four men charged and two still wanted in connection to the robbery which police show to be drug related. The investigation is continuing and police say more arrests and charges could be possible. For
