  Grand larceny reported in Johnston web posted December 30, 2006 JOHNSTON – A Johnston man called police Thursday morning to report a theft from his home. Around 3am Thursday morning the man reportedly let his dog out and noticed a go-cart, valued at over $1,400, was missing from his property on the 400 block of Addison Street. The go-cart was chained to a golf cart which was also locked with a separate lock to secure both vehicles. Police were unable to locate the cut lock but did locate a tire track believed to be from the go-cart leading off the property. The go-cart is described as being brownish in color with a 16cc motorcycle engine. The theft took place sometime between Wednesday afternoon and 3am Thursday morning. The man told police he sold a 4-wheeler earlier in the day on Wednesday. Due to the value being over $1,000 the theft is considered a grand larceny, which is a felony. For
