![]() Johnston settles overtime lawsuit web posted December 6, 2006 JOHNSTON – A settlement has been reached in the lawsuit filed last July by Officer David Willis against the Town of Johnston over nonpayment of overtime. The settlement was not made public until questions about the case were raised by EdgefieldDaily.com this week. During a review of records into the case in the Clerk of Court’s Office the settlement was discovered. Questions about the settlement to town officials were passed to Town Attorney Greg Anderson. When asked about the settlement Mr. Anderson said he could not discuss the specifics due to an agreed confidentiality clause. “I will say that the matter was resolved in the best interest of both sides.” Mayor Campbell was not available at the Town Hall Tuesday afternoon and was unable to be reached for comment.
