 Open Letter from Edgefield Mayor; Seeks input on redesign of Town Square web posted January 30, 2008 Dear Residents, Thank you so much for supporting our town during this past holiday season. Thanks to the hard work of many, it was a huge success! I would like to remind you of several upcoming events that you will not want to miss: 1) The Downtown Choc-Around is slated for Thursday, February 7, from 4 – 8 p.m. Our Thursday night events have become very popular and you will not want to miss this opportunity to find that special chocolate or gift for your valentine. 2) The 2nd Annual Shamrock Run is scheduled for Saturday, March 15. Get your walking/running shoes out and start getting in shape for the event. Watch for more information in your local papers. In closing, our town square is in need of much repair. We have determined from a financial standpoint we should re-work the entire square instead of continuing to spend money on repairs. The final design is very important and I am encouraging as much input from you as possible. Our next council meeting is Monday, February 4th at 5:30 p.m. I encourage you to attend and give us your input. Thank you again for your support and as always, Shop Edgefield First. W.
