Edgefield County Chamber of Commerce Director thanks community for support on ETV Day
web posted May 28, 2007
On behalf of the Edgefield County Chamber of Commerce, I would like to thank everyone who helped pull together the ETV Road Show event. We had a great turnout for the live performances.
Thank you to…
The Town of Edgefield, Mayor Durham, and Charlotte Cheatham for all their hard work in coordinating this event on the square. The Town Council members for allowing us to host the ETV Road Show on the square. Police Chief Ronnie Carter & his staff, Maintenance Supervisor David Coleman & his staff for a wonderful job of keeping control of the crowds and getting the town ready for the invasion of the square.
Mr. Robert Rodgers, Mrs. Pamela Urban Moore for all your hard work on entertainment and getting crafters, demonstrators, etc. lined up for the day. We appreciate all the hard work you did on making the day wonderful.
ERA members, ECDA members, Village Gardeners, other vendors, artists, businesses, and entertainers Thank You for joining us at the ETV event on Friday. Without you the day would not have been as enjoyable as it was. Your presence gave the day a festive appearance. Also, to the Sheriff’s Office, the South Carolina National Heritage Corridor, and the National Wild Turkey Federation for their characters who greeted with the kids on the square.
Special Thank You goes to Wachovia Bank, Pendarvis Cheverlot Olds and Edgefield Community Development Association for sponsoring the band Brass Tyme on Friday night.
To the Old Edgefield Grill, Chef Sean Wight for the hospitality and generous meal which you prepared for the crew of SC ETV. Word around the table was everything was delicious. Also to the other restaurants around the square, for also staying open and providing delicious foods as well.
To the Tompkins Library/Edgefield Welcome Center and the Edgefield Government Building staff, for hosting the SC ETV crew in your establishments. Your hospitality was gracious.
Ruth Padgett, Dr. John Culbertson, Barbara Rupert & Sandra Friar for helping out at the Chamber booth. Also Courtney Turner for all your hard work in selling purple bows for Relay for Life.
To Edgefield Florist, for the beautiful arrangements you provided for the stage area on Friday. The rose arrangement was just gorgeous. Mrs. Carolyn Piekielniak for allowing us to use some of her flowers for the interview areas on the square.
To WKSX 92.7 radio station, The Citizens News, & The Edgefield Advertiser newspapers, TV stations, EdgefieldDaily.com and other area newspapers a big Thank You for all the great exposure you gave this event. We do so appreciate all you do for the community.
To any others that I may have missed, Thank you for all you did to make Edgefield County’s ETV day a huge success. With your support we pulled together to show the State of South Carolina what Edgefield County has to offer.
