Support of for the Runoff Election for Rick Hubbard for Solicitor

web posted June 20, 2016

Dear Editor,
I was disappointed to see that my friend Rick Hubbard did not win outright this week, but he is in a runoff because he only fell 45 votes short in a race with three candidates and we all need to continue our support for Rick. I have known Rick for over 20 years and know his abilities, integrity, and work ethic. I grew up in Edgefield County and have so many friends and connections in all of the counties in the circuit.

I live in Lexington County where I voted for Rick in the primary, but if I lived in Edgefield, Saluda, or McCormick Counties, I would be getting the vote out to election Rick Hubbard for Solicitor, but since I do not live there, I wanted everyone to know how I feel and whom I continue to support. I have already spoken to my family in Edgefield County and they support Rick and are telling all of their friends to vote for Rick Hubbard.

Rick has already been endorsed by so many people including Senator Shane Massey, Senator Katrina Shealy, Representative Bill Hixon, all four sheriffs in the circuit, local law enforcement/fire and other public safety leaders and staff, many other local officials, and The State Newspaper.

I hope you feel as I do and support the election of Rick Hubbard in the runoff June 28, 2016. If you qualify for early absentee voting, that will be available starting June 21, 2016. This is a critical election and Rick needs your continued help. He has done a great job and is a true professional and friend, and he deserves your support.

It is difficult to get people out to vote and even harder to get them out to vote in a runoff, so please encourage all of your friends to get out and vote for Rick Hubbard June 28, 2016.
