Edgefield Mayor invites public to express "positive" and "proactive"
comments at forum
web
posted October 14, 2009
Dear Edgefield:
As your mayor and more importantly, a proud citizen of Edgefield
County, I want to personally invite you to attend an upcoming event
sponsored by the Town of Edgefield. This informal meeting will be
held next Tuesday, October 20th at 6:30 PM in the old Kendall Mill
facility and light refreshments will be served.
For some time, I have wanted to pull the community together where ideas
can be freely exchanged within a festive, very informal environment.
The goal of this event will be solely to identify positive, proactive
ideas from those in attendance that will direct the Mayor and Council
in a direction that will move our community even more in a positive
direction.
Even though the event is sponsored by the Town, all citizens of
Edgefield County are invited to attend. We believe to strengthen our
community it will take a joint effort with all three municipalities as
well as the entire county. We want to hear from you.
As I have said before, I firmly believe that if we are not moving in a
forward direction then we a falling behind. There is no such thing as
standing still in today’s world!
I hope to see you next Tuesday and remember as the holidays approach
