Writer thanks those who supported fundraiser for Brody Johnson
web
posted November 18, 2009
Dear Editor:
The employees of the Edgefield County Water and Sewer Authority would
like to say “Thank You” to everyone that supported the Spaghetti Dinner
Fundraiser that was held on Sunday, November 15th to benefit Brody
Johnson.
For those of you who do not know Brody, he is the 1 ½ year old
son of Eddie and Jackie Johnson. Eddie is a long-time employee of the
water department and grew up in Johnston. Brody was injured in
September when he fell into a pool.
To everyone who purchased a ticket, we thank you and we hope that you
enjoyed your meal. To those who made monetary donations, your
generosity will be put to great use.
We send out a special thanks to the following businesses for their
generous donations:
Edgefield Masonic Lodge, Bi-Lo (Edgefield), Fairway Food Center, Ten
Governor’s Café, Pizza Hut (Edgefield), Rose’s Beauty Shop,
Employees of Wachovia Bank (Edgefield), Johnston IGA, Cone’s Meats
(Ridge Spring), Huddle House (Bettis Academy), Doreen Cannon –State
Farm (Belvedere), Wal-Mart (North Augusta), Kroger (North Augusta), and
Bi-Lo (Clearwater). As a result of your willingness to donate needed
supplies, not only did we meet our goal, we exceeded it.
Our company came together to help one of our own and to see first hand
how our community comes together to help those in need was amazing.
All proceeds from this benefit will go to Brody and his family to help
pay his medical expenses. If you were unable to participate in this
fundraiser and would like to make a contribution to Brody, you may stop
by Wachovia Bank in Edgefield.
Again, we say “Thank You” for your generosity and may God Bless You.
The Employees of the Edgefield County Water and Sewer Authority
