Edgefield Mayor Invites Residents to Tree Lighting web posted November 20, 2012 Dear Edgefield, Mark your calendar for Friday, November 23, 6:00 p.m. for a night of celebration; Singing, Christmas Tree Lighting, Polar Express movie on the town square and the first SNOW of the season. Come fill the square this year! As we kickoff the holiday season with the annual tree lighting, I ask each of you to consider using this event as a time to gather with family, friends and neighbors to reflect on our many blessings and celebrate what makes us such a great community and nation. Let’s gather as a community and use the Christmas Tree Lighting to symbolize a bright future, freedom, heritage and most of all to give thanks to a Glorious and Merciful God. Please consider our local merchants and SHOP LOCAL as much as possible! I personally wish each of you a very Happy Thanksgiving and Merry Christmas!
