Johnston Development Board thanks supporters web posted December 8, 2007 Dear Editor, Many thanks for your coverage of our recent Johnston Christmas Tree Lighting ceremony. This event served as a great kickoff to the Christmas season in our community. We look forward to continuing this event in a bigger and better fashion in the coming years. Of course, any comments and suggestions would be appreciated. Especially, we thank our “Elite Eighties” tree lighters, the Town of Johnston Public Works crew, the Ivy Cottage Too, Wright’s Tree Farm, Johnston Elementary School and Marion Turner, all of whom made the ceremony possible, and all who attended to show their support for community activities.
