  Former County Councilman warned of possible charges for continued property damages web posted January 25, 2007 MERRIWETHER – A Merriwether resident called the Sheriff’s Office to report a local sanitation truck repeatedly running off into the grass in his yard causing damage, and in turn beginning to erode the roadway, as he turns the garbage truck around during his route. The driver, and owner of Merriwether Sanitation, has been contacted about the matter three times by the homeowner a Sheriff’s Incident Report shows but, “it still continues” the man complained. The deputy contacted the company’s owner, former Edgefield County Councilman Danny Bishop, and advised him that if the truck enters the man’s property again there, “would be charges”, the report states. Bishop’s company does not pay tipping fees at the landfill to dump collected garbage by his for-profit company. For
