Woman finds intruder in her home web posted February 28, 2009 MERRIWETHER – An Amelia Drive woman called 911 early Friday afternoon after discovering a masked man inside her home. The woman screamed and called for her nephew as the man ran out of the door and disappeared into a nearby wooded area towards Royal Place. Deputies converged on the area trying to close off escape routes. The only description the woman was able to provide was a male, perhaps in his twenties, wearing a black hoodie and a ski mask. She was unable to determine the race of the man due to the disguise. Deputies searched the surrounding area but were unable to locate the man. There was nothing stolen from the home and there were no weapons involved. The woman was shaken from the incident but was otherwise unharmed. Investigators were unable to find much in the way of evidence to help them try to identify the intruder. © Copyright 2009
