Cheves Creek home target of third burglary in two weeks
web
posted March 10, 2010
MERRIWETHER – A Cheves Creek Circle couple
found themselves the victims of a burglary Monday afternoon when they
arrived home and found the French doors on the back of the house
“kicked in”. It is the second home burglarized in two weeks in the
neighborhood and the third in the Merriwether area.
The couple stated an X-Box Limited Edition gaming system, game, and a
fireproof safe were missing. The safe contained various legal documents
and
other personal items with an undisclosed value. Other property was
valued at $400, not including the damage done to the doors.
The scene was processed for evidence and photographed and the
investigation is ongoing.
A Cheves Creek Road couple had their home burglarized on February 26.
The Edgefield County Sheriff’s Office has warrants for the arrest of James
Richard Brantley, 29, in connection to that burglary and another
the same day on Mealing Drive.
At this time there are no suspects in the most recent burglary.
