  60-year-old woman arrested after theft of car web posted March 18, 2010 MERRIWETHER – An Edgefield County woman has been arrested after a Trailside Drive man reported his Ford Taurus stolen in the early hours of Wednesday morning. The man told the responding deputy the woman entered his home, took the keys out of his bedroom, and then drove away in the car just after midnight. Within the hour the woman was spotted driving the car on Highway 25. The woman, Victoria Hurst Hydrick, 60, also of Trailside Drive, was approached after parking the car and taken into custody. Hydrick has been charged with use of a vehicle without permission, driving under suspension for DUI second offense, and DUI second offense. According to an incident report, Hydrick refused to take a breathalyzer test She remained in custody at the Edgefield County Detention Center Wednesday night awaiting a bond hearing. © Copyright 2010
