 No injuries in Gregory Lake Road collision web posted March 25, 2008  MERRIWETHER – A
rear-end collision on
Gregory Lake Road stalled afternoon traffic when a North Augusta High
School Student ran into the back of a fellow student at the entrance of
the North Augusta Country Club Monday afternoon on Gregory Lake Road.
No injuries were involved.According to information obtained on the scene, a North Augusta High School student was traveling north on Gregory Lake Road in a Honda Accord and failed to see a Chevrolet pick-up truck stopping to allow another vehicle to make a turn and slammed into the rear of the truck. The truck suffered only minor damage in the crash but the Honda Accord was left inoperable and sitting in the northbound lane. Sheriff’s Deputies arrived on the scene and directed traffic until the South Carolina Highway Patrol could arrive and begin their investigation. Initial information said the driver of the Honda would be charged in the collision. The scene was cleared in a little over an hour. ©
