Drug raid report shows third arrest, money seized web posted March 27, 2007 MERRIWETHER – Additional information of a drug raid at a home on the 500 block of Wood Drive Thursday night has been released. As Edgefield Daily.com reported Saturday, Dawn Marie Bosdell, 26 and Christopher David Blanton, 24 are facing multiple charges stemming from the raid. Also charged in the raid was Dion Lovell Meisinger, 41. Three minor children, ages ranging from 4 years to 10 years, were taken into protective custody by the Department of Social Services. The Edgefield County Sheriff’s Narcotics Officers and the SWAT Team made entry of the home serving a search warrant and say they found “several plastic bags containing a green leafy substance believed to be marijuana,” in the home. The home itself was described as being “in complete disarray”. Due to the conditions of the home DSS officials were summoned to the scene and took the children into “emergency protective custody.” As officers continued their search they discovered a gun, pills believed to be Xanex, and $553.54 in cash. The decaying carcasses of several chickens in a pen at the home were also found. Mr. Blanton was charged with ill treatment of animals, manufacture or distribution of schedule l, ll, lll drugs with the intent to distribute and possession of a controlled substance. He was released on a $5,500 bond on Friday. Ms. Bosdell was charged with ill treatment of animals, manufacture or distribution of schedule l, ll, lll drugs with the intent to distribute and possession of a controlled substance and person in charge placing a child at risk of harm. She was released on a $8,000 bond on Friday as well. Mr. Meisinger was charged with ill treatment of animals, manufacture or distribution of schedule l, ll, lll drugs with the intent to distribute and possession of a controlled substance.
