Burglary and car theft reported in Merriwether web posted April 10, 2007 MERRIWETHER – A Merriwether man called the Sheriff’s Office to report a break-in at his Stephens Road home on Saturday. The responding deputy found pry marks on the door used to gain entry into the home. Also stolen from the home was the man’s 2000 Nissan Altima. The man told the deputy that he left the home around 11am and returned around 2pm to discover the break-in and theft. Missing from inside the home was said to be between $2,000 and $3,000 in jewelry and a cell phone. The keys to the Nissan were missing from a key rack. The scene was processed for evidence and no suspects were listed on police reports. The case has been forwarded on to the Investigative Division for follow-up. For
