Equipment trailers stolen web posted April 26, 2007 MERRIWETHER – Two reports of thefts of equipment trailers have come into the Sheriff’s Office this week from the Merriwether area. The first was reported on Stevens Creek Road where a Merriwether man told the deputy his trailer was parked in his yard and when he returned the next day it was gone. Also reported missing from the home was a chainsaw that was left in the garage. The value of the trailer and the saw was estimated at $2,400. The second reported theft on the same day was a white equipment trailer that was left on Sweetwater Road. When the worker returned to pick up the trailer it was missing. The trailer was valued at $3,500. Both cases have been turned over to the Sheriff’s investigative Division for follow-up. There were no suspects listed in either crime. For
