Burglary and attempted burglary reported at Merriwether homes web posted May 18, 2009 MERRIWETHER – A burglary and an attempted burglary were reported over the weekend in the Merriwether area in addition to the burglary of a local dairy distributorship. Friday night residents along Big Oak Drive reported two suspicious vehicles at a nearby property and when deputies arrived the vehicles were gone. Deputies placed a BOLO (Be On the Look Out) for a white truck and a GMC red pickup in connection to the attempted burglary on Big Oak Drive that were seen in or around the property at the time. No entry was made and nothing was stolen from the home. A resident on the 600 block of Springhaven Drive reported that an uninhabited home on the property that was used for storage had been entered and ransacked. At the time of the report it is unknown what, if anything, was taken from the home until family members have a chance to take an inventory of the items stored at the location. © Copyright 2009
