 Stolen truck found by owner web posted June 16, 2006 MERRIWETHER – A man returning home early Thursday morning spotted a truck that appeared to be similar to one he owns. When the man got to his Murrah Road home, he saw his truck was missing and called the Sheriff’s Office just before 4:00 am. A Sheriff’s Deputy arrived at the location and noticed there was damage to the front of the truck and oil was dripping from the motor. The 1990 Ford pick-up was found about 800 yards from the man’s residence. No keys were found in the truck and police were unable to dust for fingerprints as the owner tampered with the truck before officers arrived. The owner towed the truck back to his residence with the use of his own personal trailer. The case has been turned over to investigators for follow-up. There were no suspects listed in the case according to police reports. For
