More construction site thefts reported in Merriwether web posted July 20, 2006 MERRIWETHER – A local builder called the Sheriff’s Office to report a grand larceny of building materials at a construction site Tuesday afternoon. When the deputy arrived at the home site on the 2200 block of Gregory Lake Road the builder showed him around the construction site and where the items were before going missing. The builder stated four windows were stolen, three windows with a half circle window on the top of them and one frosted bathroom window. The builder also showed the deputy a bathroom tub enclosure that was inside the home that was found outside. It is unknown if the tub was dropped or if it fell out of a truck as the subject or subjects left the scene. The enclosure was damaged. An investigator arrived on the scene and processed and photographed evidentiary material. The theft is believed to have taken place between the hours of 8 pm Monday and 8 am Tuesday. The case is still active and under investigation. The total value of the windows were stated to be $1,000 and $300 worth of damage was done to the tub enclosure. For
