 Burglary results in theft of two hand guns web posted July 21, 2006 MERRIWETHER – A Big Oak Drive resident called the Sheriff’s Office to report a burglary to a locked shed behind his home. When the deputies arrived the man showed them the shed which had been pried open. The man then informed the deputies that two handguns were taken from the shed. The deputies observed where a tool had been used to pry the shed open and recovered the lock that was used to secure the shed. The scene was photographed and other evidence collected. The two guns stolen were listed as .38 caliber pistols; one was blue in color and the other chrome. No serial numbers were provided for the guns. For
