Thieves Target Landscaping Trailer

web posted July 29, 2014

MERRIWETHER The Edgefield County Sheriff's Office was called after a worker arrived at the company on Sweetwater Road and found one of the locks on an enclosed trailer had been cut. Upon further investigation, it was discovered that nearly $5,000 worth of equipment was stolen.

A deputy arrived and the owner showed him where a fence surrounding the property had been cut, making a hole that a person could climb through on the back side of the fencing.

Reported stolen from the trailer was a Spectra LL100N Laser valued at $1,000, a BR600 blower ($1,000), a Dewalt tool bag containing a Dewalt 20 volt drill, saw and sawsall ($900), a Dewalt 7 1/4 inch circular saw ($150), a Husquvarna K760 concrete saw ($1,000), a Sthil MS660C chainsaw ($400) and a Dewalt skill saw ($150).

The serial numbers were not available at the time of the report, an incident report stated, and would be provided later.

All of the information gathered on scene has been turned over to the Sheriff's Criminal Investigative Division for further investigation.
