Pistols stolen from Merriwether resident web posted July 31, 2007 MERRIWETHER – A Merriwether man notified the Sheriff’s Office to report the theft of two guns from his truck while parked at his Stevens Creek Drive home Saturday morning. A deputy arrived a short time later and was shown where the guns had been located in the truck. The deputy reported that one gun, a black .45 caliber Llama Mini Max was taken from the glove compartment of the truck. The second pistol, a .380 caliber Mike-Sauer model P232, was taken from the console in the truck. The man stated that nothing else was missing from inside the vehicle and that he discovered the theft when he noticed a light on in his truck and went to investigate. The guns were valued at a total of $1,200 and have been placed with the National Crime Information Center (NCIC) in an effort to locate them.
