 Ashcraft announces Town Hall Meetings starting this week web posted August 10, 2009 MERRIWETHER – Edgefield County Councilman Rodney Ashcraft will be holding one of possibly three Town Hall Meetings in his district starting on Wednesday, August 12. Councilman Ashcraft said he wanted to invite his constituents to come and voice their concerns and opinions on issues involving the county council in a free flow exchange of ideas. Ashcraft said the only way for him to properly represent his district is to hear from voters directly. The first town hall meeting will be held Wednesday at 6 pm at the Mt. Vintage Town Center and is open to the public. After entering the Mt. Vintage main entrance from Sweetwater Road continue towards the clubhouse and gold course and the Town Center will be located to the left of the first traffic circle. Councilman Ashcraft said he plans to hold two more meetings, one on the Westside and one at the County Council Chambers in Edgefield on dates to be announced. Merriwether County Councilwoman Genia Blackwell said she plans to attend the meeting as well to listen to resident's concerns due to the close proximity of her and Mr. Ashcraft’s districts. © Copyright 2009
