 Merriwether voting precincts 1 and 2 to locate at MMS web posted August 10, 2009 MERRIWETHER – In clarification of an earlier report on the combining of Merriwether Voting Precincts 1 and 2 to a single location, both precincts will now be voting at the Merriwether Middle School on Murrah Road. The two polling places will remain separate and voters from each district will be counted in their respective precincts. Voter registration cards advising voters of the new polling location were mailed on July 29, Director of Elections and Registration Trish Butler said Friday. Voters of Merriwether Precinct 2 who were accustomed to using the Merriwether Fire Station 2 on Sweetwater Road as their polling place will now be voting at Merriwether Middle School. Signs will direct voters to their correct precinct. If you have not received your new voter registration card, need additional information, or clarification, please contact the Edgefield County Voter Registration office at 803-637- 4072 or via e-mail to tbutler@edgefieldcounty.sc.gov. © Copyright 2009
