 Two homes broken into in Merriwether web posted September 21, 2006 MERRIWETHER – An area builder discovered two homes in Stephens Mill subdivision broken into on Tuesday afternoon. The two homes were located close to each other on Stephens Mill Circle. The first discovery came when the door to one home was found to be “kicked in”. The home found with the door kicked in did not have any items in the home reported stolen. The second home, located just down the block, had a dishwasher and a stove stolen from the home. It was unknown how entrance was gained to the second home with no noticeable evidence of a forced entry. The case has been turned over to the investigative division of the Sheriff’s Office for further investigation. The total value of the missing items was listed at $700. The case remains active. For
