 web posted September 21, 2007 MERRIWETHER - A Cheves Creek Circle resident reported almost $7,000 in goods and cash stolen from his home. Cheves Creek Circle is located in the Moore Road area, which has been the focus of several recent burglaries. The resident told a Sheriff’s Deputy that he believed the theft took place between 12:30 pm and 5 pm last Friday. Reported missing from the home was $3,600 in cash hidden in a sofa and assorted jewelry from a table in the living room. The jewelry ranges from a gold necklace, a one-carat diamond earring, and gold “nugget” ring, among other items. It is unknown at this time if the case is related to other recent burglaries in the area. The case has been forwarded on to the Investigative Division of the Sheriff’s Office for follow-up For all
