The man is seen smashing the glass front door in an apparent attempt to enter the store. The man is seen hitting the glass door twice and then kicking the door twice. Then the man walks away and is believed to have then driven a few miles down Martintown Road and burglarized another business. The same man is believed to have arrived at Fox Creek Junction at the county line with a second man in a red truck and broke into the store and reportedly took a cash register and an ATM machine. The attempt at Sportsman’s Corner may have been a diversion for police while the burglary at Fox Creek Junction was taking place. Security cameras captured the men during the burglary on video at both locations. Edgefield County Sheriff’s Investigators are investigating the two crimes, which they believe are related. A description of the man breaking the door at Sportsman’s Corner was said to be a white male with dark colored hair and a receding hairline. The man wore a mask during the crime.
