MERRIWETHER – The Edgefield County
Sheriff's Office was called to a reported burglary on the 2500 block of
Martintown Road on Tuesday that saw nearly $6,000 worth of property
stolen, including two guns.
The owner, who does not live at the location, arrived on Tuesday to
find a shed on the property forcibly entered and several items taken
including a green E-Z-Go golf cart, a Remington model 1100 20 gauge
shotgun and a single barrel Ithaca shotgun. In all they were valued at
$5,800.
The owner said he was last at the location on Sunday, October 7, and
everything was in order.
An investigator was called to process and photograph the scene. What
