 web posted October 23, 2007 MERRIWETHER – A Merriwether man returned to his home on the 40 block of Roper Court after being gone for a week to discover the home had been burglarized Sunday night. A window screen had been taken out of a front window on the front porch and the “glass had been busted,” reports indicated. The only thing missing from the home was an X-Box gaming system valued at $300. The man stated he had three people that should be considered suspects in the theft. Deputies were unable to make contact with the possible suspects. The scene was processed for evidence and the case has been turned over to the Investigative Division of the Sheriff’s Office. ©
