  Crash stalls afternoon traffic on Martintown Road web posted November 10, 2006  MERRIWETHER – Just
after 4:30 Thursday afternoon 911 operators received
a call of a single vehicle crash on Martintown Road about two and a
half miles north of Sportsman’s Corner. According to a witness
traveling east on Martintown Road, the driver of a Ford F-250 pick-up
truck swerved off the westbound lane and slid off an embankment and
crashed the truck into several trees before coming to rest on its side.The driver of the truck received minor injuries in the crash and was treated at the scene by EMS personnel. A small dog, also in the truck at the time of the crash, was retrieved unharmed.  The driver of the
Ford said he “blacked out” and did not know what
happened and deferred to the witness to tell police what she saw. The crash stalled traffic on Martintown Road for over an hour; with traffic being completely stopped for about fifteen minutes as the truck was righted and loaded onto the wrecker. Traffic was returned to normal by 5: 40 pm. For
