  Second Merriwether homeowner returns from work to find back door open web posted November 30, 2007 MERRIWETHER – Another Merriwether resident reported returning home from work and finding a rear door open. The call came in to the Sheriff’s Office Dispatch just before 3 pm Thursday and deputies were sent to the Phoenix Court home in Currytown Station to make sure no one was inside. The deputies found no one in the home. No official information was available concerning items possibly stolen. However, the report comes on the heals of a burglary reported on Wednesday to a nearby home on the 400 block Sweetwater Road. Area residents should be aware of the recent events and report any suspicious activity immediately to the Sheriff’s Office. The recent reports have occurred during the midday hours. ©
