break windows of cars driving Five Notch Road
web posted December 29, 2005 MERRIWETHER – A Merriwether woman called the Edgefield County Sheriff’s Department to report a window of her minivan being broken out. Deputy Jimmy Smith responded to the call on the corner of Five Notch Road and Laurel Oaks. The woman told Deputy Smith that as she entered Edgefield County on Five Notch Road she heard a loud sound and then her window busted. The window on the passenger side of the vehicle was shattered by an unknown object. A neighbor reported to Deputy Smith that his wife had the same thing happen to her the day before. Deputy Smith patrolled the area without locating anyone. The neighbor had not reported the incident to police. Anyone who travels Five Notch Road and has a similar event take place is asked to call the Sheriff’s Office. For
