Merriwether Middle School’s Math Counts Team Places 3rd At Regional Competition

MERRIWETHER – The Merriwether Middle School Math Counts team, coached by Ms. Georgie Rohr, came in 3rd place in the Regional Math Counts Competition held at Aiken Technical College. Twelve teams from throughout the CSRA were in the competition.

Team members Alisha Simpson and B.J. Sherrill placed 16th overall and Sherrill also took 3rd place overall honors in the Count Down Round.

The Math Counts competition consists of written math work, a test and “jeopardy” style questions to test students math knowledge.
