 Wanted men flee police during storm web posted July 25, 2006 MURPHY VILLAGE – The Chester County Sheriff’s Office notified the Edgefield County Sheriff’s Office that a 1997 green Dodge Dakota they were looking for may be in Edgefield County. A Sheriff’s Deputy located the truck at a home on Clover Drive. One of the three occupants of the truck got out and ran on foot from the scene before the Deputy could approach the vehicle. Chester County officials were looking for the truck as one being used in several scams and larcenies that have been taking place in Chester County. The driver of the truck and the other passenger were allowed to stand on the porch of the home the truck was stopped at due to the heavy rain falling Sunday night. Aa the deputy began obtaining information on all three subjects, the driver entered the home and then fled the scene on foot out of the back door. A warrant for the driver’s arrest is in the process for driving under suspension. The man’s information showed he is a resident of Erwin, Tennessee. For
