Come Discuss Today’s Important Issues and Share Your Views ALL ARE WELCOME www.robertbarber2006.com Johnston man considered "armed and dangerous" after escape from Aiken County authorities web posted September 26, 2006 NORTH AUGUSTA – Aiken County authorities are looking for a Johnston man that escaped during an attempted arrest Monday afternoon. Dewayne Langford, 30, escaped in an Aiken County Narcotics Unit’s SUV in North Augusta and then drove the SUV across the state line and abandoned it on Broad Street in Augusta, Ga. It is believed Mr. Langford may have taken weapons that were in the SUV, but that has not been confirmed. Mr. Langford is considered armed and dangerous and all area law enforcement agencies have been placed on alert in an attempt to locate him. Mr. Langford is described as a black male, 30 years of age weighing approximately 225 pounds and about 5’ 8” tall. His hair is said to be in braids and was last seen wearing a white tee shirt and blue jeans. Mr. Langford has connections to Johnston and Trenton. If you see Mr. Langford you are asked to call the Edgefield County Sheriff’s Office by dialing 911. For
