  Discovery of burned body ruled "suspicious" web posted December 28, 2007 NORTH AUGUSTA – Aiken County Coroner Tim Carlton said a body that had been partially burned was discovered by a worker at the River Golf Course on Sand Pit Road in North Augusta Thursday morning around 11. The victim, identified as Corwin L. Lee of Augusta Georgia, was last seen by his brother in Augusta, Mr. Carlton said Mr. Lee’s death is being considered “suspicious” and is being investigated by the Aiken and Richmond County Sheriff’s Offices as well as the Aiken County Coroner’s Office. Mr. Carlton said family members last saw Mr. Lee at his residence at the Super Inn in Augusta on Saturday when he left with two unidentified males. The family filed a missing person’s report on Wednesday. An autopsy has been scheduled for today in Newberry. Aiken County Coroner Carlton said the preliminary finding would be released later today. ©
